Ashish Jha is a Mumbai based Music producer/Composer working for BGM for Feature films, Songs & Ad films.
His journey to the world of music started at an early age of 8 when he was introduced to Hindustani classical music and trained as a tabla player at Sangeet Mahabharti, Mumbai (Founder Pt. Nikhil Ghosh). It was in 2009 that he was exposed to a more contemporary approach towards music and the ingenious mentorship of veteran audio engineers Daman Sood, Mujeeb Dadarkar and Vijay Benegal afforded him the opportunity to assist Clinton Cerejo in 2011. Being a part of the background music team for Kahaani(2012) while assisting Clinton marks the first of many milestones on his path to musical discovery.
He has, since then, worked for music pundits the likes of Pritam, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Amit Trivedi, Sneha Khanvalkar, Daniel B Gorge, Ustad Shafqat Ali and Amar Mohile for various projects.
His love for experimentation and musical acumen pushes him to reach out of his comfort zone and create his own world of music by foraying into freelance music production.
His artist avatar - Project Damru is a collective & a collaborative space for co-creation and authentic self expression, producing an immersive sonic experience.
